TAG membership is available to anybody who is interested in understanding how best to defend their home or buildings against termite ingress. The cost of a TAG membership subscription is $20-00 per year or $50-00 for a lifetime subscription. (These prices do not include a goods and service tax (GST) component.) The cost of membership is purposely kept at a minimal rate so as to provide a broad base of members, including Homeowners and intending Homeowners, with a resource of information to allow them to best defend their homes against the ravages of termites and to be able to have confidence in the decision making process when purchasing a Home or having a home constructed.

Members are provided with information relating to home construction, purchase of an existing home, the limitations of many of the systems and products used in termite management and an understanding as to how these systems and products operate in preventing termite attack. There will also be questions and checklists for members to query builders and real estate agents prior to entering into a contract to construct or purchase a home. This can assist members in not getting contracted, or having an ‘out’ on a contract, where termite damage can occur or has occurred. No person considering purchasing a home, or having a home constructed, should be without this invaluable information.

The content on the site is tailored more specifically to Australian Homeowners, although people in other countries would also find a wealth of information relating to their individual circumstances. Many of the circumstances involving termites do apply equally as much in the U.S.A., Japan, China, Asia and Europe as they do in Australia, and although the termite species involved may vary somewhat from those species found in Australia, the principles will generally remain the same. Most chemical termiticides, systems and products are universally adopted in termite management throughout the world with variances and allowances made for the differing construction methods.

This service is provided to TAG members only so as to assist them in the use of recognised “best practise” termite management systems and products in the defence of their home against termites. Only recognised and prequalified industry professionals that are ethical and dedicated to raising the standards in their industry will be enlisted by TAG and these selected pest managers will have provided TAG with a Declaration that they have the appropriate qualifications, licenses and insurances to provide TAG members with professional pest management services.
